Women at the Top: the gentle revolution of women, in collaboration with Il Sole 24 Ore, Financial Times and Skytg24

On November 20, Women at the Top: the gentle revolution of women took place, a summit organised by Il Sole 24 Ore, Financial Times and Skytg24, focused on female empowerment and targeting not only businesses but also young people and students of schools and universities.

The protagonists were the Italian female excellences, who distinguished themselves in various fields and working contexts and who, with their experience and their stories, were able to share their “gentle revolution” in the world of work and in society, while inspiring tomorrow’s Women at the Top.

In addition to Sabrina Casalta, Patrizia Caraveo, Paola Longobardo, Angela Mencarelli and Donatella Sciuto, the panel Donne e STEM: esempi di eccellenza tra resilienza e innovazione (“Women and STEM: examples of excellence between resilience and innovation”) was also attended by Daria Catellani, Head of Human Resource at IBSA Italy, who promoted the company’s commitment towards the inclusion and enhancement of women, especially in STEM subjects.

As a pharmaceutical company, the search for scientific and technological profiles is essential to fuel innovation and maintain high competitiveness. Valuing female talents means not only supporting gender equality, but also recognising their crucial role in the development of future technologies and solutions. For IBSA Italy, women in STEM are not an abstract goal, but a concrete reality that the company cultivates with numbers, initiatives and an inclusive vision. Indeed, it’s a priority we address through targeted initiatives such as continuous training, collaborating with institutions and programmes to ensure that female employees have access to the latest technological and scientific innovations, thus ensuring growth. In addition, we offer internal targeted professional development paths, capable of supporting the employee through the various stages of her career.

Furthermore, about two years ago, the IBSA for Women project was launched: a communication campaign designed to promote female participation and support their leadership in traditionally male-dominated fields. In addition to the STEM topic, work-life balance, well-being and social responsibility were the main focuses addressed through ad hoc testimonies, aimed at leaving a key message for each of them, in order to raise awareness and create culture, putting women and their value at the centre.

“Participating in the Il Sole 24 Ore’s event (Women at the Top) is an important opportunity to share IBSA Italy’s commitment to promoting the inclusion and enhancement of women, especially in the STEM sectors”, said Daria Catellani, Head of Human Resources at IBSA Italy. “Through targeted training programmes and awareness initiatives, we work to build a future where female talent can emerge and contribute more and more, especially in the pharmaceutical market, where innovation and skills go hand in hand. We firmly believe that gender equality is the key to a truly sustainable growth”
