IBSA SUPPORTS THE BANCO FARMACEUTICO, WHICH WILL BE BUSY WITH DRUG COLLECTION DAYS FROM 4 TO 10 FEBRUARY.
IBSA puts people first, always and in all situations. It not only puts those who work towards the company’s success (and there are over 600 of them) first, but it also puts anyone who needs treatment first: patients, ill people and citizens. These people include a special category that is often talked about: those who need drugs but are unable to buy them. In statistical terms, they are ‘citizens below the poverty line’ and in media terms they are ‘destitute, poor, living in poverty’.
At the Banco Farmaceutico drug bank, they are the Mission. They are also the mission for IBSA, which has offered its own unconditional contribution to organising the largest drug collection ever held in Italy.
For the 20th anniversary of the founding of the Banco Farmaceutico, the traditional GRF - Giornata di Raccolta del Farmaco (Drug Collection Day), will last for a whole week: from 4 to 10 February. At over 5,000 pharmacies displaying the #GRF2020 poster, it will be possible to buy one or more packs of over-the-counter medicines to donate to those in need.
The medicines will be delivered to more than 1,800 healthcare organizations affiliated with Banco Farmaceutico, all of which offer free treatment and medicines to those who cannot afford them for financial reasons.
Drug Collection Day was made possible by almost 24,000 volunteers who work the pharmacy shift and more than 15,000 pharmacists. It is to them that our unconditional THANKS for their commitment, strength, passion and enthusiasm goes.
