IBSA Italia has entered the Top Ten of the 200 main companies in the Lodi area, reaching sixth position in terms of turnover in an industrial district that, as a whole, is worth 6.9 billion euro a year, with 90% of its companies making a profit. In 2018, the district grew by 3.4% on the previous year. This was confirmed by an Assolombarda study presented in Lodi, in the evocative Tiziano Zalli auditorium, designed by Renzo Piano.

IBSA’s success is linked above all to exports. From its facility in Lodi, where most of its products are manufactured, the company ships to 35 countries around the world. Massimo Quattrini, Licensing & Development Manager explains this and also emphasises IBSA's other endeavours, namely the improvement of existing molecules: “Our researchers, using the latest technologies, develop new products and innovative supply systems that are more functional to patients’ needs.”

Despite being a company strongly committed to conquering international markets, IBSA’s developmental strategies not only look abroad, but also at the Italian subsidiary, which is the largest in the group. In Lodi, where the company’s headquarters and two production sites are located, there are plans to expand the offices, warehouses and production areas, which are increasingly committed to meeting growing orders.
