A MOLECULE LIKE HYALURONIC ACID, WITH MORE THAN 80 YEARS OF HISTORY, HAS BEEN GIVEN NEW LIFE THANKS TO IBSA.
This is one of the innovations that led the company to attend the conference of the Italian Society of Orthopaedics and Traumatology from 7 to 10 November in Rome with its stand dedicated to osteoarticular products.
On 8 November, IBSA also promoted a session entitled ‘Novità nelle terapie infiltrative con Acido Ialuronico Ibrido’ (Innovation in infiltration treatment with hybrid hyaluronic acid), with speaker Professor Chiara Schiraldi introduced by Professor Mario Ronga. The session introduced all the unique characteristics of the hybrid hyaluronic acid produced at Altergon. The union of high and low molecular weight, through a special patented thermal process, produces cooperative hybrid complexes, where low and high weight chains are linked by hydrogen bridges, without external chemical bonds. This particular procedure gives high concentrations of hyaluronic acid, and unique rheological characteristics.
