In the sign of work and innovation, Mons. Malvestiti visits the IBSA plant in Lodi

People and innovation, work and social responsibility, development and sharing. These are the pillars on which the entire activity of IBSA Farmaceutica rests and this is what CEO Luca Crippa told the Bishop of Lodi, Monsignor Maurizio Malvestiti, during his pastoral visit to the IBSA offices and plant on 23rd October. This has proven to be an effective recipe, given that IBSA ranks among the leading companies in the area both in terms of turnover and growth rates and employs almost 600 people.

They were all there to welcome the Bishop, who visited all the premises of the Lodi establishment and met every single member of the staff. It was a collective greeting that all the workers at IBSA wanted to extend to the Bishop: “Collaborators is the word that best describes those who work here.” As Mr. Crippa told Monsignor Malvestiti, “Each one of us works together to create value and is fully involved in every aspect of the company’s growth.” In moving on to present IBSA’s activities, Crippa explained that inclusion and innovation “are our strength: we focus our attention on the real needs of patients and we transform the available therapeutic solutions into a simpler and more advanced treatment instrument.”

For his part, the Bishop was particularly interested in the company’s pharmaceutical activities, but above all in the tangible Social Responsibility and Cooperation actions illustrated by Patrizia Puppi, Head of CSR and Corporate Communication, to which IBSA is committed. The collaboration with Banco Farmaceutico, the help to the volunteers of the Santa Terezinha Favela, the support to Caritas, the development of projects to aid parents through the IBSA Foundations, the project ‘Parole Fertili’ (Fertile Words), the support to the social enterprise ‘I Bambini delle Fate’ (Fairies’ Children) and the initiatives ‘Progetti del Cuore’ (Projects of the Heart) are just some concrete examples of IBSA's commitment to sharing the value it generates with the communities and the territory in which it operates. In taking leave from IBSA’s staff and management, the Bishop reminded that “Bringing comfort to the sick, assisting them, caring for them, supporting those most in need and working for the well-being of all is not only a duty for Christians, but also for all men and women of good will and I see that there are many of them here!”
