Sport promotes values such as passion, commitment, dedication, respect for the rules, but it becomes even more important when it endorses actions aimed at sustainability. As UC Sampdoria back jersey sponsor since 2017, IBSA Farmaceutici shares these values, conveying them within the communities where it operates. In the wake of this, the Company decided to participate in the SAMP FOR PEOPLE project: a special, limited edition jersey, created by UC Sampdoria and Macron and worn for the Sampdoria vs Lazio match on Sunday, December 5.
Each jersey was made by recycling 13 plastic bottles, and conveys an important message of environmental sustainability, since the project aims to have a direct and concrete impact on the environment. Indeed, the 1,000 units produced will be available for purchase at SampCity (the Macron Store in Genoa) and on the Sampdoria and Macron websites, while the shirts actually worn by the Sampdoria players during the match on 5 December will be auctioned in support of SpazzApnea association and their SpazzApnea – Operazione fondali puliti (“Sweep Apnea – Clean seabed operation”) initiative, also promoted by Apnea Academy an underwater separate collection of waste and garbage in the form of a team competition.
Taking part in the auction, IBSA Farmaceutici is proud to represent with its “IBSA brand” a jersey that symbolizes a message of great importance, in line with one of the objectives of the UN 2030 Agenda.
