IBSA in the field of sport: not just medicine

22 November 2019

THE BODY OF AN ATHLETE, WHETHER A PROFESSIONAL OR AN AMATEUR, MUST ALWAYS BE WORKING PERFECTLY EFFICIENTLY.

This is why IBSA, which has made health its mission, is on the field alongside athletes and amateurs in many sports ranging from football, the most representative and popular sport in Italy, to rugby, recognised for its high ethical and fair play values. From this year, IBSA also has a presence at the top of the world of basketball, one of the most popular sports in Italy and identified by 41% of our compatriots as representing important ethical and cultural values.

Thanks to its expertise in the treatment and prevention of osteoarticular pathologies and inflammatory states, IBSA is also partnering UC Sampdoria for the 2019-20 season. In rugby, one of the sports that most fatigue athletes’ muscles and joints, IBSA partners the Zebre Rugby Club, a Parma team in the top division. Finally, when it comes to basketball, this year IBSA has decided to partner the LBA (Lega Basketball Serie A) and the Next Gen Cup, the competition reserved for under 18 selections.

Speaking for IBSA during the press conference presenting the 98th LBA Serie A 2019/2020 championship, CEO Luca Crippa said “supporting activities in the various sports disciplines also means giving continuity to corporate social responsibility projects, encouraging the education of young people and the integration of the less young, two important needs in contemporary society.”
