IBSA Farmaceutici supports the training of young talents with the MASTERCLASS project

It is in IBSA's DNA to look ahead, including when it comes to training the doctors of tomorrow. Hence the company has become sponsor of an ambitious project, a MASTERCLASS dedicated to emerging talents in the field of physical medicine and rehabilitation: an initiative sponsored by SIMFER, Italian Society of Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine.

The programme includes a multi-stage educational itinerary on infiltrative techniques in the osteoarticular area, available to students enrolled in the final years at schools of specialisation in PM&R of various Italian universities.

The project started on 6 April with its first stage at the Humanitas University campus in Milan, to be followed by a travelling appointment to be held at the University of Catania, and subsequent stop-offs at other Italian universities.

MASTERCLASS by IBSA - Humanitas University campus in Milan

"The Masterclass initiative stems from the desire to focus on two values, recognized and shared by the Italian Society of Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine: to promote the training of young people, through courses with a strong practical connotation and a high level of interaction between trainees and tutors, and to do so in several Italian schools of specialization in order to ensure increasingly uniform access to care and treatment for osteoarticular diseases" - says Dr. Stefano Respizzi, Director of the Department of Rehabilitation and Functional Recovery at Humanitas and scientific director of the Masterclass project.

For IBSA this is a unique opportunity to help enhance the theoretical and practical skills of new medical talents, investigating the most recent and innovative clinical practices for the management of osteoarticular pathologies.

With MASTERCLASS, IBSA clearly demonstrates its belief in the future of Italian medicine and physiatry: the young people being trained today are in fact the resources on which tomorrow's patients will be able to rely.
