IBSA in the Top Ten of the 200 companies in the Lodi area20 December 2021
With a turnover of € 197.734.000 in 2020, over 500 employees, two production plants – one of which in Lodi – and three research and development labs, IBSA Farmaceutici is confirmed among the first 10 companies in the TOP200 ranking.
Carried out by the Centro Studi Assolombarda in collaboration with PwC Italia and Banco BPM, the survey analyses the best companies based in the Lodi area of which the top ten account for 45% of the turnover of the Top 200.
The positive signs emerging from the ranking can be translated into two words: resilience and recovery in an industrial district that reaches overall revenues of € 7.8 billion. In fact, according to the Assolombarda survey, 42% of the companies examined contained the losses caused by the pandemic, recording an increase in turnover. Furthermore, projections show that 2021 is a year of growth in turnover, with an estimated increase of over 10% for more than half of the companies involved in the analysis.
This year’s ranking focused on the topic “Sustainability and recovery”, to highlight the impact of the activity on the development of society, and how well companies are reacting to the crisis generated by the pandemic.
IBSA Farmaceutici has stood out since the beginning of the emergency, pursuing two critical priorities: the safety of its employees and the therapeutic continuity for patients. In addition, with an investment plan of € 15 million confirmed for 2021, IBSA Farmaceutici reinforces its commitment to the economic recovery: during the pandemic – and against the trend of the historical situation – the Company continued to hire, increasing its personnel.
In addition to the technological and production growth, the Company also focuses on sustainability; indeed, its investment plan in Italy allows it to develop the new Lodi headquarters in a green perspective, with sustainable solutions and renewable energy sources.
